Data Analyst - Prototype Build
What to Expect
Pushing the boundaries of vehicle design and technology requires robust validation and advanced representation within our early prototype vehicles. This data analyst role is crucially positioned within the Prototype Build Team, able to contribute to the early success of our vehicle programmes.
The successful candidate will be required to extract key data trends during the planning and delivery phase of our prototype builds, reporting insights using clear and concise visualisation methods. Connected between engineering and supply chain, the role provides great opportunity to explore and deliver efficiencies within the team processes and of existing data manipulation methods.
What You'll Do
- Support the Build Engineers in the planning and delivery of early prototype builds via KPI and status reporting.
- Ensure accurate and efficient operation of the inventory management system.
- Provide meaningful insights into the status of active and upcoming prototype builds, targeting on-time delivery.
- Familiarisation of existing team and business processes with a focus on driving continuous improvement.
- Management of the BOM across each project/prototype, ensuring accuracy and timely updates in parallel to concept design change.
- Identify operational challenges, driving effective solutions via clear communication and data-driven analytics.
- Maintain and endorse the company's values and culture including housekeeping, appearance and behaviours.
- Actively contribute to a safe working environment, engaging with relevant SSoW and H&S policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the engineering and supply chain team goals.
Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modelling to interpret complex datasets related to project management KPIs, vehicle BOMs and inventory management.
- Excellent IT skills and adept in Microsoft 365 products, with advanced capabilities using Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in various data visualisation and manipulation tools, specifically:
- Microsoft Power BI
- Microsoft Power Query
- Microsoft Azure
- Experience using SAP products is preferred.
- Experience within the automotive industry is preferred.
