School Data Manager

Location: Woking, GU22 7AT

Salary: £8,825 per annum (equivalent to £26.380 FTE)

Contract: Temporary – 14 hours per week, term time

The school is a thriving specialist school with 110 places for students aged 11-16 years old with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs. They are fortunate to be situated in a beautiful site in Woking. Their school is part of the Multi Academy Trust, working with other great schools which makes them stronger together.

The Role

The School is looking to appoint a proactive, solution focused School Data Manager. You will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of data for the school. Working closely with school Admin Team, Senior Leadership Team and the Trust, you will streamline data processes and provide insights for decision-making, ultimately making a significant impact on the educational experiences and outcomes of the pupils they serve.

This has the potential to be both a hybrid and flexible role which offers a unique opportunity to manage and optimise data systems at both a school level whilst developing Trust-wide experience. Knowledge of Arbor MIS is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for inputting, analysis and/or distribution of accurate data for
    • staff and student data collection sheets
    • student attendance and punctuality
    • academic progress and attainment
    • behaviour data
    • examinations data
    • SEND information data
    • student engagement data
    • parental engagement data
  • To ensure the accurate maintenance and distribution of management information relating to students.
  • To provide specialist data support to staff.
  • To support the Leadership team with timetabling through Arbor.
  • To collate annual student reports.
  • To complete any other work, within reason, as directed by the Headteacher.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree Level
  • Experience of working in a school
  • Experience of data management and data analysis
  • Understanding of and commitment to key safeguarding responsibilities as outlined by the Department of Education
  • Excellent IT skills including experience of using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to accurately produce professional reports and communication for the school’s stakeholders (staff, parents/carers, governors, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Have a friendly, calm, assertive and professional approach to communicating with a range of different people
  • An ability to establish fair, respectful, trusting supportive and constructive relationships with staff.
