Maintenance Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Maintenance Assistant to join their team. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive individual with strong DIY skills and a can-do attitude.

Role Overview:

  • Carry out general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, decorating, joinery, and basic electrical tasks.
  • Assist with deliveries, ensuring they are received and stored appropriately.
  • Maintain exterior areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and well-presented.
  • Work with a wide range of people, requiring excellent communication skills.
  • Support health and safety compliance across the site.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong DIY and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to engage with colleagues and external contractors.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations is an advantage.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive, can-do attitude.

Job Details:

  • Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, 37.5 hours per week

  • Holidays: 22 days plus 2 statutory days
  • Advanced DBS check required
