Electrician / Electrical Engineer - (CHP/Energy Sector)
42k-45k Basic Salary (Fully Employed) + Benefits
Location - Woking, Surrey - Site Based
We currently have a superb opportunity for an experienced Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join one of our clients who are a leading provider of services to the CHP (Combined Heat and Power), Power Generation and District Energy sector.
Job Role:
- Woking/Surrey based, therefore you will need to live commutable to Woking.
- As a Operations & Maintenance Electrician you'll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing faults to a wide range of plant, equipment and electrical apparatus associated with generation, distribution and control of District Energy systems.
- Working with SCADA, BMS and PLC control systems.
- Carrying out electrical installation of new circuits and equipment, testing & inspection.
- Inspection, testing and certification of existing low voltage electrical systems.
- Monitoring of performance and status, early diagnosis of faults and working to PPM lists to maximise operating efficiency, with utilisation of CMMS and reporting systems.
Key Skills Required:
- Must have relevant and previous Electrical experience.
- Must be qualified with City & Guilds 2382 BS 7671 18th Edition.
- Must be qualified with City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing.
- Experience of operating and servicing power generating plant, electrical distribution, pumped heat and chilled water systems is desired.
- Experience of operating and maintaining commercial and industrial electrical installations, switchgear and control gear is desired.
- Experience of working with PLC/SCADA systems is desired.
- Must have a UK driving licence.
- Royal Navy / Marine Electrical Engineering background considered.
