Experienced Mechanical Fitter/ Installation Engineer required to undertake a dual role for a world leading specialist engineering organisation based in Woking. This role will be key to the business and the support of all customers across the UK and Internationally. With this role being upto 50% field based and 50% based in the production facility in Woking.
Working within a specialist division of the company you will be you will be working from technical drawings and job cards to produce repair kits and bespoke modification kits for products both at assembly stage and also out at customer sites. The on-site work will be pretty much worldwide with examples of recent project locations are UK, Norway, America, Dubai, Saudi Arabia.
Workshop Activities:
- Assembling all products using technical drawings.
- Use of hand tools and power tools such as drills, grinders and sanders.
- Use of machine shop equipment including mill, lathe, saws, tube bender and hydraulic tube bender.
- Packing and protection of parts and products.
As and where the business needs require, you will attend on-site installations alongside senior service engineers. The work will be of similar nature to the workshop Activities.
- On site work is expected to be upto 50% of the year.
- Complete on-site inductions and briefings.
- Use of forklifts, scissor lifts and Boom lifts to complete installations.
- working to engineering and technical drawings
- Responsible for all in-house engineering jobs, repairs and manufacturing contract repairs and projects.
- Manufacture, assemble, Inspection, servicing and repair work
- Small batch and one-off manufacturing.
- Preparation and packaging of onsite installation jobs.
Essentials
- Mechanical Fitting/ Assembly Experience
- Driving License
- Computer Literacy (Intermediate level)
- Experienced reading drawings
Desirables
- Forklift License
- IPAF
- Working at height
