Principal Concept Development Engineer

Hybrid: 3 days officer per week
Our client is a leading international service provider to the energy industry, with a diverse client portfolio including many of the world's leading energy companies.
Woking is our client's centre of excellence for consultancy and early-stage engineering and where much of their work on energy transition projects is undertaken.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢The job holder will report into our Manager, Energy Consulting.
ā¢This team consists of seven employees, these are typically Study Managers, Concept Development Engineers and Flow Assurance Engineers.
ā¢Developing innovative engineering work on conceptual and FEED projects
ā¢Providing a consultative role to internal and external clients
ā¢Supervising, guiding and directing project teams. Ensuring the project team understands the technical details and key features of the project to enable the team to deliver work efficiently and to the highest technical standards
ā¢Business development ā identify and propose opportunities to develop business within or beyond projects you are directly involved in
ā¢Proposal development ā assist in preparing proposals by providing technical expertise
ā¢Provide support to study managers as required.
ā¢Develops solutions to bring client projects to market
ā¢Leads feasibility screening of development concepts.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
ā¢Good understanding of Interfaces between various engineering disciplines.
ā¢Appreciations of onshore and offshore Oil & Gas facilities engineering as well as new energy sectors such as hydrogen, CCUS and energy from waste
ā¢Good ability in field development planning and Conceptual design competency for greenfield and Brownfield
ā¢Management of teams of multi-discipline engineers.
ā¢Planning and forecasting ability.
ā¢Good experience in early-stage project development within the oil & gas and/or new energies sectors
ā¢UK and international concept development experience
