About the Company:Our client, a leading specialist fit-out company, is currently seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in the shopfitting industry. The company, based in Huddersfield, operates at the forefront of the industry, delivering high-quality projects for a diverse range of clients.
Role Overview:As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate and competitive estimates for shopfitting projects. This is a hybrid role that involves a blend of on-site and office work, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for shopfitting projects.
- Collaborate with the project management team to understand client requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather relevant information.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to create comprehensive estimates.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and pricing.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the shopfitting industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
