Part-Time Bookkeeper

Location: WokingSalary: £42000 - £45000 pro rota + annual bonus

Monday - Friday 10am - 3pm

Office based only.

Role Description

We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our client's team. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate financial records for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Input financial data into accounting software (Sage 50)
Process subcontractor and supplier invoices
Coordinate and process supplier and subcontractor payment runs
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Manage CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) deductions and submissions
Reconcile bank statements and oversee accounts payable/receivable
Process employee expense claims
Perform additional finance-related tasks as required

Qualifications

Experience in the construction industry is desirable
Strong knowledge of financial statements, bookkeeping, and accounting software
Understanding of journal entries and general accounting principles
Highly detail-oriented and organised with a focus on accuracy
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Relevant certification or degree in Accounting or Finance
