We require an additional Driver and Gardening Assistant to be responsible for deliveries across the London and South East area based out of our site in Chobham. You will be driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle and must have a clean drivers licence and be happy working alone whilst driving. You should have good customer skills as you will be delivering directly to residential and business customers. You should also be happy to assist on site when required across a range of duties at pur commercial garden nursery. In return we can offer Mon to Fri working hours, weekly pay, on site parking and paid holiday with an early finish on a Friday.
The main duties of the role will be:-
• Load plants onto Danish Trolleys for delivery.
• Delivering plants at customer’s premises, checking the plants off with the customer.
• Delivering great customer service.
• Communicating effectively with office colleagues.
• Checking vehicle condition and reporting any defects.
• Driving safely and courteously.
• In quieter periods helping out on the nursery with general duties such as weeding, watering, picking plants ready for despatch and any other general support to the garden nursery team.
Ideally you will have previous driving or delivery experience and an interest in outdoors work such as gardening or similar, a clean driving licence and be happy to load and unload your own vehicle whilst also assisting with other non driving duties when required. In return we can offer an asap start, weekly pay and paid holiday.
