Job Description Outline

The General Manager, Operations is responsible for leading a team of field service engineers, ensuring the efficient delivery of on-site support and technical assistance for fire alarm systems. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of service, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Package

  • Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:



1. Installation & Maintenance

  • Oversee the planning, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize service disruptions.


2. Team Leadership & Compliance

  • Manage and coordinate engineer schedules to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide training and mentorship to develop the technical and professional skills of the field service team.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with BAFE and ISO 9001 standards.


3. Service Contracts & Support

  • Oversee service contracts, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  • Direct and manage support services to meet contractual obligations effectively.


4. Operational Efficiency & Customer Experience

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor service reports to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain an effective stock control system to ensure operational efficiency.


5. Issue Resolution & Customer Relations

  • Ensure prompt and effective resolution of customer issues to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
