General Manager - Plumbing and Heating

60k-70k Basic Salary (depending on experience) + Company Car/or Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Location - Woking / Surrey

Alecto Recruitment Ltd are looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to join an established client of ours within the plumbing, heating and renewable energy industry and on a full-time permanent basis.

You'll be resopnsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including operations, sales, customer service, and team management.

Job Summary:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage and mentor staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery. Implement and maintain best practices and operational procedures.
  • Sales and Business Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth. Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial planning, and reporting. Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Key Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as either a General Manager, Operations Manager, or in a similar leadership role.
  • Experience within the plumbing and heating industry, or heat pump industry.
  • Ideally with technical knowledge and industry qualifications such as NVQ or equivalent in plumbing etc.
  • Preferably with experience dealing with new build developers, homeowners / residential housing or housing developers.
  • Strong business acumen and management skills.
