Hybrid HR Manager required on a permanent basis

HR Manager

Location: Can be based at any major hub (Woking, Worsley or Brinsworth) within the United Kingdom.

What you will enjoy doing

  • As an HR Manager, you’ll be a critical friend to Business Leaders, partnering to deliver the HR strategy and people plans to the aligned business areas using metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities to improve business performance.

  • You’ll partner with business leaders and Talent to develop near and long term workforce and demand plans, and management of the FTE planning process.

  • Additionally, you will promote diversity & inclusion continuously and develop progressive plans with business areas to promote and improve diversity, including through the analysis of DEI metrics and implement talent development plans with diverse pipelines to ensure workforce and skills for the future.

  • You will partner with the business on organisation design initiatives and lead the business through change projects including communication, consultation, implementation and change management

  • You will coach leaders and drive the ongoing development of people capability in the line management population to enhance employee engagement and retention.

  • Furthermore, you will support business leaders to prepare for and lead pay negotiations, recognition processes and the ER agenda, and contribute towards Union Working Groups.

  • You will also line manage a small team of HR Advisors, providing coaching, guidance and an escalation point.

  • And lastly, you will have the exciting opportunity to see our sites and offices so you will be willing to travel for up to 30% of your time.

What makes you great?

  • You have significant HR experience, in a similar sized organisation, across both unionised and non-unionised employee populations, with strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.

  • You have project management experience, including project management approaches and tools.

  • Additionally, you understand analytics and have the ability to apply them in a commercial context to find patterns and root causes.

  • You hold negotiation and coaching skills, including the ability to coach and develop leaders, with strong management and leadership skills, able to motivate others.

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with all levels of the organisation, with strong problem-solving skills Furthermore, you have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • You are proficient in using HR management software and Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

  • And lastly, a CIPD qualification or relevant degree is desirable.
