We have a fantastic (but quite urgent) 12 month fixed term, maternity cover contract available for an experienced HR Advisor to join a fantastic Woking based client.

Reporting to the Head of HR Business Partnering, the role will be working as part of the wider HR team and supporting the regional HRBP in delivering the full end to end HR service across the business.

With an anticipated start date mid-late October, the role offers flexible working with 2 days in the office, 3 from home with a base salary £35-£38K + benefits.

Key Responsibilities to Include:

  • Build strong relationships with key managers in area of responsibility, providing HR advice, proactive intervention, and management information.
  • Respond to ER related queries, ensuring all case details, documentation and resolutions are accurately recorded
  • Contribute to changes regarding relevant policies, frameworks and processes to adopt best practice approaches and reflect legislation and case law
  • Provide administrative support and representation for HR associated project work and new initiatives throughout the client
  • Provide advice and support to colleagues and their line managers regarding maternity, paternity, adoption, parental leave and shared parental leave
  • Provide advice and support to colleagues and line managers on flexible working applications
  • Provide high quality written work with attention to detail, demonstrating knowledge, considered risks, clarity of decision and process followed.
  • Maintain an expertise in employment law and best HR practice, in order to be able to provide accurate advice to managers and staff on employment legislation issues, and their implications for the organisation

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified CIPD
  • Experience of successfully developing and implementing a range of HR policies, procedures, reports and/or guidelines
  • Strong knowledge of ER policies and legislation and experience of owning and resolving complex ER case work
  • Experience of delivering performance management interventions with people managers.
  • Experience of proactive management information interventions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with employees at all levels within the organisation
  • Ability to multi-task, work to deadlines, prioritise under pressure and use own initiative, resolution and results driven with a flexible and can-do attitude
  • Excellent team player with the ability to build effective team relationships and promote an environment of trust and flexibility
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to confidential and personal issues or concerns
