About the RoleMARAC is a Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference and is a meeting where information is shared on the highest risk domestic abuse cases between representatives of local police, health, child protection, housing practitioners, Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs), probation and other specialists from the statutory and voluntary sectors

Working as an integral part of the team you will protect and uphold the safety and security (including Health and Safety) of the service users, staff, volunteers and buildings, and the confidentiality of records and other information in line with data protection, as well as the rights of women and children experiencing domestic abuse.

Key tasks as a MARAC Administrator:

  • Supporting the work of MARACs, meetings and workshops. This involves arranging meetings, checking and co-ordinating agendas, making necessary arrangements for meetings, distributing and despatching all necessary papers, attending meetings and drafting minutes and reports.
  • Attending, delivering and participating in training, meetings and seminars and to organise and deliver training, briefings and presentations for partners and representatives.
  • Interpreting, collating and analysing complex information/statistics in relation to the service area for the ongoing monitoring of performance/progress.
  • Keeping records up to date, providing reports as required and monitoring performance against strategic objectives and relevant indicators.

The role will be managed by the Domestic Abuse Programme Manager at SCC which will provide an independent oversight of the MARAC administration and process, and support a stronger, more resilient partnership approach to MARACs in Surrey.
