Mechanical Inspector Responsibilities:

Perform visual, functional and dimensional inspection of mechanical components and final products
Create CMM programs and carry out detailed component inspection
Generate inspection documentation such as FAIRs and control plans
Conduct batch, inter-stage and first article inspections
Support root cause investigations and contribute to quality improvement activities
Provide feedback on inspection issues to relevant teams
Update ERP systems accurately and maintain a clean, safe working area

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a mechanical inspection role within manufacturing
Proficient with traditional metrology tools (micrometers, Verniers, height gauges, etc.)
Confident reading engineering drawings with a good understanding of geometric tolerancing
Experience setting and/or operating CMM machines is ideal for this role
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards is desirable
A qualification in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous
