About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will ensure the quality and timely delivery of critical parts from suppliers, collaborating with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and enhance product performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to foster strong cross-functional partnerships for optimal outcomes.
  • Conducted supplier and part risk assessments and developed effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular supplier progress updates to Purchasing and Quality Assurance teams, including:
    • Open issues
    • PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) updates
    • Delivery forecasts and confirmations
  • Oversee the approval process for PPAP parts according to the agreed timeline.
  • Manage the Non-PPAP part concession process, ensuring robust plans for each part during the build phases.
  • Lead Quality and Capacity Verification aligned with development targets.
  • Resolve major supplier-related issues, engaging senior management as necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance quality and efficiency.
Candidate Profile:
  • Experience in supplier quality engineering, including PPAP, 8D problem-solving, trials, and capacity planning.
  • Extrusion process knowledge is a plus but not essential.
  • Strong skills in risk assessment, supplier reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
