Are you a recent Psychology Graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a primary school setting? Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? Academics is looking for dedicated and empathetic Psychology graduates to join a primary school in Surrey as Learning Support Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates interested in progressing into Clinical or Educational Psychology.

The Role:

  • Supporting children on a 1-to-1 basis who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Working with children with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioural issues, and other learning difficulties
  • Assisting class teachers in implementing individualised learning plans
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Long-term contract with a view to permanent placement

What We're Looking For:

  • A recent Psychology Graduate (BSc/MSc)
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
  • Interest in progressing to Clinical or Educational Psychology
  • Patient, understanding, and able to build strong relationships with children
  • Experience with children with ASD, behavioural challenges, or other needs is desirable
