This is a well known business that operationally turns over more than £300m a year. With having almost 50 stores across the country, they're well known, reputable and are now looking to expand their ladieswear area. AS THE JUNIOR BUYER:

  • Creating and executing the buying strategy, including range building.
  • Source, select and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the optimum product, process and terms of contract.
  • Taking ownership of critical path and ensuring deadlines are met with any issues being raised and resolved.
  • Prevent quality problems by considering and solving issues early on.
  • Participate in meetings with the Buying team and Head of Fashion ensuring key information is communicated.
  • Manage the category to achieve optimum performance and profit growth. Competent in data analysis to identify opportunities from weekly reports, analyse trading patterns and take appropriate action.
  • Monitor and maintain stocks as per KPI's set and manage open-to-buy accordingly.
  • Complete buying trips as needed within the UK and overseas to identify new suppliers and maintain relationships with present suppliers.
  • Keep up to date with competitor and retail trends to inform product selection.
  • Deliver the brand strategy, providing energy to drive the business forward
  • Deliver innovative ideas for your category.
