If you are results driven, champion in change management, have the tenacity to navigate through ambiguity and the desire to pursue a career with a multinational company, please view the Microsite and some further details below.https://web/boc-procurement/welcomeYour new roleThis is an exciting role which plays an instrumental part in the development and execution of our sourcing strategy to enable the delivery of our year-on-year productivity savings, as it leads the category management process to drive productivity and efficiency improvements.Working with the business and externally, this role is ultimately responsible for delivering the 'best in class' supplier relationship management, which includes the evaluation and performance management of our suppliers to drive and focus a continuous improvement approach.This role keeps abreast of the supplier market outlook, innovation, products, and pricing and uses their market knowledge and information to proactively influence sourcing decisions that optimise the company's cost base. Alongside this, our Senior Buyers have the opportunity to learn and leverage the global buying power that comes from being part of the Linde group, as they collaborate and work closely with the regional and global teams sharing learnings and best practices of workingWhat you'll need to succeed* Educated to degree level preferred or A level with significant relevant working experience in a similar industry or Procurement environment* Has a CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualification/s or is working towards this is an advantage* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to develop positive working relationships both internally and externally across all levels* Previous working experience in category management* High level of self-motivation and tenacity to drive and deliver results* Good level of commercial and business acumen; an understanding of the nature of our products and services* Proven ability to drive continuous improvements, savings, and best practices with ability to influence change successfully cross-functionally* Comfortable working in a complex and changing organization working in scenarios of ambiguity* A basic knowledge of what makes a good contract, ideally with experience in contract drafting* Works with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace* Previous Engineering working experience would be beneficial for some of the Senior Buyer roles who would support this area of the businessWhat you'll get in returnThis is a great opportunity to join an international organisation where you can develop and grow and see the impact of your work
