We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working on a major highway's infrastructure project with a Tier 1 civil contractor. About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of a high-value highways infrastructure project. Working with a Tier 1 civil contractor, you will ensure that costs are tightly controlled, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The role will require frequent site visits and strong coordination with the project teams across Central London and Woking.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Lead the financial and contractual management of highways infrastructure works.
- Conduct cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting for the project.
- Manage subcontractor payments, variations, and claims.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual and legal obligations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the commercial team.
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor
- 10+ years of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in civil engineering projects.
- Prior experience in highways or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of cost management and commercial practices in the civils sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid role, with site visits required in Central London and Woking.
