Part-Time Recruitment / HR Officer

Our client is a local charity who provides support to children with special educational needs and they are looking for a compassionate and efficient HR / Recruitment Officer to help recruit and on-board new staff members.

The role is based in Woking town centre and is part-time (initially 3 days a week - 6 hours a day) with flexibility on the days. Flexible and hybrid working will be considered for the right candidate although regular presence in the office will be required. We are ideally looking for someone who is available immediately and can start on a temp to perm basis.

The salary is up to £15.00 p.h dependant on experience.

Key Duties:

  • Recruitment: Lead the recruitment process by posting job adverts, screening applications, and scheduling interviews
  • Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and orientations are conducted smoothly.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of all recruitment and onboarding activities, updating databases and filing systems.
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for candidates and new hires, providing information and support throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Training: Lead on the administration of the learning platform and booking training courses.

Key Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in HR, recruitment, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Understanding: A genuine interest in supporting SEN children and an understanding of their unique needs.
