The School and Role
The school is an independent specialist school providing high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred education for pupils aged from 11 to 17 years in Woking.
The children come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many will also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
They are looking for a Mathematics specialist. Our Maths curricula span Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key stage 3 and GCSE. You will be supported by national subject champions who can support the work of non-subject specialists to be experts in how best to facilitate learning for the children they know best.
The desired Maths Teacher will have:
- Experience of working with SEN pupils in a teaching environment.
- A passion for the progress of SEN school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team and flexible approach to support this schools requirements.
- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
