Learning Support Assistant
  • Pay: £85-£110 per day
  • Location: Woking
  • Job Type: Full-time, 5 days a week long-term

Reed Education are supporting an SEMH School in Woking - and the school is a special school dedicated to supporting boys aged 7 to 16 years with severe social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help our students thrive within our trauma-informed care framework.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work closely with class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice, and Academy policies and procedures.
  • Provide trauma-informed support to students with severe SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes emotional and mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to deliver holistic support.
  • Engage with students in both classroom settings and alternative learning environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience or strong interest in working with children with SEMH needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS check and compliance with safeguarding policies.
