What you'll be doing:
- Tailored Learning: Assist in delivering personalised educational programmes that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborative Teaching: Work closely with the lead teacher to implement effective teaching strategies and behavioural management techniques.
- One-on-One Support: Provide individualised support to students, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Inclusive Activities: Facilitate activities that encourage participation from all students, ensuring everyone feels included.
- Progress Monitoring: Keep track of students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents, helping to adapt learning approaches as needed.
- Preparation: Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and the setup of the learning environment.
What we're looking for:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an SEN setting.
- Understanding: A solid grasp of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Empathy: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children with additional needs.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or special needs education are highly advantageous.
