We are looking for a dedicated SEN Speech and Language Therapist to support children with moderate learning difficulties, and associated behaviours. No previous experience is required. Interviews are now taking place.

The School: - Woking - Education and Training

This school is located in Woking and is for up to 150 children aged 4-19, who require the support of a specialised curriculum to enable them to thrive and reach their full potential. This school has a Therapy Department, consisting of Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.

This SEN Speech and Language Therapist role is an excellent opportunity to work closely and network with other teams of professionals, gaining relevant experience, expanding your knowledge and skillset. This role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting - career progression routes include SEN Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and various Child Psychology routes.

Job Role and Responsibilities: - SEN Speech and Language Therapist - Woking - Education and Training

  • Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
  • Behaviour and pastoral support
  • Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students
  • Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
  • Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Ensure safeguarding of students
  • Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
