Front End Developer - WFH / Chobham, Surrey

£30,000 - £40,000 plus benefits

Our client is a highly successful digital and creative agency, and they are looking to recruit a Front-End Developer to work with their expanding client list. They are looking for a Front-End Developer who embraces new challenges and finds ways to bring them to life. They need an enthusiastic individual with a passion for creating beautiful and engaging digital experiences, someone who takes the initiative but knows when to ask for guidance. You can work from home; however, they do want you to work from the office at least once a week and you must be able to drive as they are not near a train station.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop user-centric websites
  • Ensure optimal performance and responsiveness of websites
  • Build and maintain multiple WordPress websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, React and Next.js
  • Work on full design and build projects from brief to launch and beyond
  • Collaborate with the creative team to implement innovative solutions
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise

Required Skills / Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in front-end web development in a digital agency environment.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, React and Next.js
  • Experience developing WordPress and WooCommerce websites (not drag and drop editors).
  • Experience developing Next.js solutions with headless CMS.
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

The following experience would be advantageous.

  • Experience in designing responsive design websites using Figma.
  • Experience developing with React Native
  • Experience developing with NPM or Gulp
