TPF Recruitment, the leading accountancy practice recruitment agency in the South East, are hiring on behalf of an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in Wokingham, Berkshire. They are seeking an Accounts Senior for a general practice role involving accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT.

The ideal candidate can be either qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience. This position offers a progressive and rewarding career with significant autonomy. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts.
  • Assisting with management accounts production.
  • Handling personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT returns.
  • Performing general bookkeeping duties using Xero or Quickbooks.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees.
Requirements
  • You will be studying your ACCA / ACA or be qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • You will have substantial experience within a UK accountancy practice, preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accountancy practice environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior staff.
Benefits
  • £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
