Our client is seeking additional support across Year End and as such requires an Assistant Financial Accountant to commence immediatly in the role.
They are offering an hourly of £17.50 -£19.50 per hour depending on experience.
This is a full-time, temporary position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30.
You will be working closely with experienced professionals, you will gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience, enhance your skills and knowledge by working with advanced accounting software such as Sage 200 and Salesforce. This role supports part-qualified accountants (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE), with the experience to be able to assist the team and the Head of finance at a busy period across finance year end.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations, supplier and customer account reconciliations, and
 balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Process invoices, payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate transaction records.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and variances.
- Prepare and maintain financial documentation and records.
Skills and Qualifications
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage 200 and Salesforce.
- Strong Excel skills are essential.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
