Our client is seeking additional support across Year End and as such requires an Assistant Financial Accountant to commence immediatly in the role.They are offering an hourly of £17.50 -£19.50 per hour depending on experience.

This is a full-time, temporary position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30.You will be working closely with experienced professionals, you will gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience, enhance your skills and knowledge by working with advanced accounting software such as Sage 200 and Salesforce. This role supports part-qualified accountants (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE), with the experience to be able to assist the team and the Head of finance at a busy period across finance year end.The company fosters a supportive atmosphere, encouraging teamwork and continuous learning. Engage in a variety of tasks, from financial reporting and reconciliations to audit support and compliance. This diverse role ensures that no two days are the same, keeping your work both challenging and rewarding.Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.- Perform bank reconciliations, supplier and customer account reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations.- Process invoices, payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.- Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate transaction records.- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and variances.- Prepare and maintain financial documentation and records.Skills and Qualifications- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE) or equivalent.- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar financial role.- Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage 200 and Salesforce.- Strong Excel skills are essential.- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.This role is perfect for those who are detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to assist the finance team within a reputable company.
