About the Role

Director of the Assets Advisory Practice is responsible forsecuringwork, delivering projects to a high standard, and managingand mentoring a team. Your reputation, leadership and expertise in asset management in the transport industry will drive our business forward.

TRL supports our clients' asset management needs through our Advisory Services, our Field and Professional Services and our Software products. TRL owns and operates the Smart Mobility Living Lab, which is a globally unique testbed that can support clientdevelopment, test, trial, simulation, and behavioural study requirements. We have particular expertise in pavements and highways. The team you lead is focused on evidence based research and innovation advisory work that brings together all the capabilities of TRL and our partners'capabilities to help organisations in the public and private sectors create the future of transport, and their own futures. The majority of the work is UK based and we have important clients in Low and Middle Income Countries where our mission to make transport more sustainable, efficient and accessible is of growing relevance.

The successful candidate may be based at TRL Headquarters in Wokingham in Berkshire, and we welcome flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

  • Significantly contribute to the overall business development by winning work for yourself and the wider team.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered to a high level of customer satisfaction. Your personal contribution to projects will be an important aspect of your leadership.
  • Effectively lead, develop and mentor members of the wider team.

Skills & Experience

  • A recognised national/international leader in the relevant capability area of Assets with a strong network of client contacts.
  • Proven track record in securing and delivering projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delighting customers.
  • Evidence of contributing to a collaborative and collegiate senior leadership team to ensure the whole business succeeds together.
