About the Role

Join our dynamic Field Services Department as a Pavement Site Operative, where you will play a crucial role in assessing pavement (road) conditions across the UK, predominantly on the National Highways motorway network in the Southeast, as well as local roads.

In this role, you will be entrusted with a variety of key responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting pavement coring and clearing operations for the purpose of sample collection.
  • Utilising advanced Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology to identify potential issues beneath the surface.
  • Operating a range of specialist vehicles and equipment, contributing to the successful completion of various pavement assessment projects.
  • Analysing collected samples within our UKAS-accredited laboratory, helping to provide results back to clients to inform their decision making.

This role requires flexibility, as it involves travel throughout the UK and includes regular night shifts. The position is based in Wokingham, Berkshire.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

  • Experience with vehicles and machinery
  • Construction or roadworks experience
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK as required by project demands.
  • Willingness to work regular night shifts and adapt to varying work schedules.

Desirable

  • CSCS or site safety qualification
  • Category B+E driving licence
  • Experience with road condition data collection
