Our client based in Wokingham is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Executive for a 10-month maternity cover to drive new and existing business by generating and nurturing leads and existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

This role focuses on dealing with warm, inbound leads and account management.

  • Chasing down active live quotations through site visits and building relationships with all commercial teams and buying contacts
  • Identifying key decision makers and targeting to gain enquiries and increase listings with distributors
  • Qualifying lead status and updating records in CRM
  • Developing new sales opportunities with existing customers and new customers.
  • Managing new business and quotation pipeline.
  • Targeting leads from key audiences predominantly B2B distributors
  • Identifying key decision makers - actively target for F2F Meetings to build relationships.
  • Using existing pipeline, target live quotations to close out as 'Won.'
  • Following up on leads from specific campaigns, such as events and exhibitions, sponsored digital lead generation and email marketing.
  • Account-based approach to progressing key prospects, using multiple channels - LinkedIn, email, phone, etc. to develop relationships and nurture the opportunity to progress to enquiry/order/product listings.
  • Working towards a monthly sales target.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Significant experience in customer account management ideally in a B2B environment
  • Technologically astute
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement project(s)
  • Problem solver with great initiative
  • Good head for numbers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and results orientated.
  • An eye for detail and ability to visualize the customer journey while identifying opportunities to improve the customer's experience.
  • Ability to identify efficiency and cost savings.
  • Able to articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled at building relationships where feedback is welcomed and responded to.
  • Analytical, diligent, tenacious, persistent, and balanced.
