Please note, staff accommodation is not available with this position, therefore, you must be able to commute to the area daily.
What's involved?
As an experienced Head Chef, you will work closely with your Sous Chef, leading the kitchen team and ensuring they are motivated. You will ensure the smooth running at all service times to the required high standard in the restaurant, lounge, and al fresco areas of the hotel, as well as C&B. The hotel has a real focus on C&B with the facilities to cater for large events of up to 500 covers so the successful candidate will have experience of catering for C&B of similar numbers.
You will create mouth-watering menus, as well as being responsible for general kitchen management including rotas, ordering, recruiting, training, and disciplining staff, ensuring effective communication at all times.
You will have a great eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently and competently under pressure, possess excellent time management and organisational skills, and be ready to take accountability for your own role and that of your team.
