A specialist school in Wokingham is seeking a dedicated individual to join their SEN team, supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
As a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will use your knowledge and enthusiasm to inspire and motivate students, helping them build resilience, confidence, and key life skills while navigating challenges in their education and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs, focusing on emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Use sports and physical activities to promote teamwork, discipline, and engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN specialists to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Proactively manage challenging behaviours with patience, positivity, and a calm approach.
- Act as a mentor and role model, encouraging students to achieve their potential both academically and socially.
