This dynamic SEND School is funded by a charity that cater for students with are a nurturing and inclusive educational environment dedicated to supporting students with special educational needs.

These range from:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties
  • ADHD/ADD, ODD
  • High Functioning ASC and Asperger's Syndrome
  • Social, communication and interaction difficulties
  • Anxiety-based problems including attachment disorder and separation
  • Speech, Language and Communication needs
  • Sensory issues and moderate OT needs

 We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a specific student, helping them achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a student with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support the student in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education is a plus.
