Job Summary:

The Electrical Assembler will be responsible for assembling, wiring, soldering and testing electrical components of catering equipment, ensuring that each unit meets quality standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical assembly, troubleshooting, and wiring, combined with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electrical components for catering equipment other fast food restaurant appliances.
  • Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical engineering specifications accurately.
  • Perform wiring, soldering, and connecting components based on specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure functionality, safety, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the assembly process.
  • Ensure all assemblies meet company quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Maintain and operate electrical tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work closely with the engineering and design teams to provide feedback on assembly processes and suggest improvements.
  • Assist with inventory management by tracking electrical components and ensuring availability for production schedules.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain high productivity levels.

Essential Experience

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • A strong technical engineering background with experience in electrical assembly.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Reasonably fit, as this role requires being on your feet for extended periods.
  • Qualifications such as a BTEC or City & Guilds certification in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred but NOT essential.

The role is initially on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, with a possibility this will be extended.

Salary: 24,000 Pro Rata
