Our client is currently experiencing a significant level of growth and are seeking a Solar Electrician to join their busy and dedicated Solar and Battery Storage department. They are looking for a qualified electrician who can offer outstanding service to their clients who has a passion for the renewable energy sector and solar. You will be supporting their domestic solar and battery storage brand. Whilst dealing with technical queries from their network of installers.

The salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 plus a 12% annual bonus alongside a company van and many other amazing benefits!

Main responsibilities for the Solar Electrician role:

  • Diagnose and address functionality and safety issues
  • Plan and commission installations, indoor and outdoor electrical control, and wiring.
  • Deal with technical queries from our network of installers.
  • Visit Installations both internal and external contractors inspect and test electrical systems, including fuses, transformers, and circuit breakers.
  • Stay apprised of revisions to relevant solar, electrical, building and safety regulations
  • To support and train technical teams across the business.
  • Visit customer and sites to support their growth in solar.
  • Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications for the Solar Electrician role:

  • You will have a minimum of 5 years solar industry experience.
  • Solar PV qualifications are essential, as well as knowledge of Solar Apps, being fluent in solar monitoring platforms.
  • Full driving licence required.
  • NVQ level 3 technical qualification.
  • BPEC - Installation & maintenance of small-scale solar PV systems. 18th Edition
  • City & Guilds requirement for electrical installations (18th Edition) (BS7671 Level 3)
  • City & Guilds fundamental inspection, testing & initial verification (Level 2)
  • Solar PV Installers and Battery Storage Course (Level 3)
