Exclusive role - Finance Director - PE backed Tech - Wokingham (hybrid working) - c.£120k + 20% bonus

Cedar have been retained by a mid-market Private Equity firm in search of a Finance Director for an exciting and profitable SME in the Health Technology space.

Having recently completed on a large acquisition, the business is seeking a Divisional Finance Director to own 2 of the larger businesses in this group of 4 and help support this continued growth - taking the business on an exciting journey with bolt-on acquisitions and eventually a transaction.

This is a strategic Finance Director role as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, partnering a commercial, customer facing CEO, performing due diligence on potential M&A and support business cases to increase revenue streams. You will also partner several key c-suite/MD level commercial stakeholders, and manage a small team which you will develop and scale.

The business has clients UK-wide with several offices (no need for travel), but you will need to be comfortable working in a multi-entity organisation with several brands and revenue streams. You will need the confidence to present both internally to the board as well as to the PE partners. The CFO is looking to retire in the next couple years so there is a real opportunity to succeed the CFO should you show the potential to take that role.

Experience you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Accountancy qualification is essential with several years PQE
  • Previous experience owning the Finance department, with experience working in a multi-entity/multi-site business
  • A strong analytical background, data-driven with experience in evaluating products / due diligence, able to support new investment decisions
  • Experience working in a Private Capital backed business (PE or similar) is ideal, or someone able to show strong working capital and cash flow experience
  • Strong accounting background, meticulous on compliance and regulatory requirements.
