We're currently supporting a B2B consulting/ technology services business looking to bring in a pivotal role within Europe. This role will be critical in not only to continual development of the team and existing process's. But will also have the opportunity to make a genuine add value contribution to the organisation within Europe. 

Main purpose of the role

This is a critical role within the ASL finance team, reporting to the Head of Group Finance Shared Services. It focuses on delivery of seamless, accurate and complete month end process for number of European entities. This role has a primary responsibility for management and seamless operation of AP, AR, Treasury and Expenses processes in different European jurisdictions.

Main responsibilities

  • Team management: lead, mentor, set performance goals and monitor progress of transactional finance team. Support and help implement culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Encourage collaboration within the team but also finance and business stakeholders.
  • Financial Operations Management: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense processing functions. Focus on getting the accounts up to date, ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, invoices, and payments, coordinate requirements for business insurance renewal. Monitor and report on cash flow and liquidity to optimize financial resources, ensure treasury administration responsibilities are fulfilled. Mange banking administration tasks ensuring the division of responsibilities and controls.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk mitigation strategies. Drive implementing streamlined processes and procedures, document and adapt to local requirements. Support the external audit process.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyse financial reports. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to senior management. Implement, monitor and analyse key financial metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify trends.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Support Head of Group Finance Operations in identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation within transactional finance. Drive implementation of best practices and standardize processes to reduce manual interventions and achieve efficiencies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Group Accounting, Finance Services, FBP. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as vendors, customers, and financial institutions. Overcomes any cultural or industry barriers to create teamwork leading to outstanding business practices.  Demonstrates respect for the opinions of others, keeping people informed & up-to-date.  Shares information and expertise with others to enable them to accomplish group goals.  

Your Skills: 

  • Preferably qualified accountant with minimum of 10-15 years of experience in transactional finance roles, with a proven track record in leadership positions.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, processes, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrate experience of new process design and implementation.
  • Willingness to understand and document local compliance requirements and ensure the best practises are in place.

Preferable

  • Dynamics 365 finance experience
  • SAP BPC or similar reporting tool experience
