Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Handle financial outsourcing for a diverse portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables are completed to a high standard and on time.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports, managing performance and fostering growth.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Take on special projects and analyses as needed.
  • Client Onboarding: Prepare proposals and engagement letters to ensure compliance and smooth onboarding of new clients.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Qualifications: Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with ideally 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Leadership: Proven experience managing and leading a team, including performance management and goal setting.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals (FRS 105 and 102), VAT principles, and proficiency in Word and Excel. Experience with Xero, Dext, and CCH is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent planning, organisational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing deliverables. A team player with a supportive mindset.
  • Client Interaction: Ability to lead client meetings, advising on basic corporation and personal tax rules, including dividend planning.
