Job Title: IT Infrastructure EngineerLocation: WinnershSalary: £50,000 - £55,000Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for the IT and a strong footing in Linux, Azure & Microsoft Virtualisation to join our client's team in Winnersh. The successful candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure, taking ownership of scenarios and a proven track record of providing effective, hands-on IT solutions.The main responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure Engineer include:* Install, maintain & support IT environment including network and servers, monitoring systems, change management, telephone systems.* Ensure the security, reliability and availability of on-premise IT systems through monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting.* Install, support and configure Virtualization and Cloud Solutions.* Work on infrastructure issues, providing an efficient and timely resolution.* Update the helpdesk system ensuring all parties are informed on update/resolution or escalation of issue.Technical Skills/Requirements:* 5+ years technical experience managing a Microsoft virtual based Infrastructure, with up to date hands on experience capable of troubleshooting to a high level. * 5+ years technical experience managing cloud environments* Excellent technical knowledge of Azure, Windows server, Clustering, Active Directory, Exchange and SQL Server, Backup Technologies and Virtualisation (Hyper-V). Firewalls, Cisco Switching, iSCSI.* Strong skillset within Linux Administration * Understanding of LAN/WAN networking (TCP/IP), Firewalls, VPN.* Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills.If you are an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer and have the required skills and experience, then please apply for immediate consideration and interview.
