We have an opportunity for a full-time Assembly Operative to join our clients vibrant Team at this leading custom technology Company based in Wokingham. This is a permanent vacancy working Monday to Friday 8:45am - 5:00pm.

About the role
As Assembly Operative you will be reporting to the Production Manager and have responsibility for the assembly of electronic components in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards. Key tasks include:

  • Assembly of electronic connectors and other components using the appropriate tools and techniques
  • Inspection of electronic connectors and other components at each stage of the assembly process
  • Working with araldite glues and resins
  • Assembly of CAT5 / CAT6 / Power Cables
  • Mechanical assembly of a full range of products
  • Pack and document all products as required
  • Ensuring quality standards are always maintained in accordance with the QMS procedures
  • Promptly notifying the Production Manager of any assembly, quality or other problems
  • Keeping the assembly area tidy and maintaining a good standard of housekeeping
  • Timely and thorough completion of documentation
  • Warehouse duties including correctly picking and/or packing of products
  • Booking in/out of stock and stock taking duties as and when required
  • Ensuring that all activities/tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy

This role would suit someone with knowledge and understanding of assembly techniques and processes and a solid understanding of quality standards and the need to adhere to these.

About the rewards
As an Assembly Operative, you will receive a salary of £24,000 to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience plus:

About you
To be successful for the role of Assembly Operative, you must have / be:

  • A good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • Production skills with small components
  • Basic wiring and Soldering skills advantageous
  • Ability to plan and organise workload
  • High degree of manual dexterity
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team or on own initiative
  • Accuracy and attention to detail essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude
