Community Occupational Therapist (school based - Wokingham area)

A SEN school located within Wokingham are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to support their service on a locum basis initially.

The school offers day and residential provision for young people with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You'll be responsible for completing moving and handling assessments, functional occupational therapy assessments, single handed care and reablement.

Key responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive functional occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities.
Complete moving and handling assessments, ensuring appropriate techniques and equipment are identified to support clients' needs.
Assess clients for single-handed care solutions, promoting independence and reducing reliance on caregivers.
Develop and implement reablement plans aimed at improving clients' independence in daily living activities.

Requirements:

Have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
Have post qualification experience in health or social care settings.
