Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Adults Strategic Commissioner to work within our local authority client in Wokingham!
Contract - Initial 6 months contract with a view to being extended to an ongoing basis
Hours - Part Time Position - 3 days per week
Salary - 450.00 per day - negotiable dependent on experience
About the role:
- Lead on the strategic commissioning of short break services for unpaid carers, ensuring alignment with local and national policies.
- Collaborate with carers, service providers, and key stakeholders to co-design innovative, person-centered break options.
- Monitor and evaluate service effectiveness, driving continuous improvement to meet the diverse needs of carers and cared-for individuals.
- Oversee budgets, contracts, and performance frameworks, ensuring value for money and high-quality service delivery.
About You:
- Proven experience in strategic commissioning within adult social care or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the challenges faced by unpaid carers and the benefits of short break services.
- Analytical skills to interpret data, assess service outcomes, and inform commissioning decisions.
