The Opportunity:
- A warm and welcoming school in Wokingham and looking for a Youth Mental Health Support Worker
- This school pride themselves in facilitating a friendly and safe environment for their students
- The students at this school suffer from mental health difficulties that stem from anxiety and depression and have trouble regulating and processing their emotions
What is involved:
- As a Youth Mental Health Support worker you would be primarily involved in supporting these children with their emotional needs.
- You will be working with these students on a 1:1 basis or in a small group setting
- Supporting the class teacher with general classroom duties
- Helping to manage behaviour in the classroom
- Facilitating a fun and engaging learning environment
What is required:
- The successful Mental Health Support Worker will be an advocate for positive mental health
- As an individual you will be caring and compassionate
- You will be ready to take on a new challenge and make a difference
- Resilient and confident, able to adapt to changing situations easily as the students have varying needs and educational plans
- Experience within mental health is desirable but not essential
