Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a residential developer in Bracknell, overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of a 90-unit new build project. This role requires a strategic approach to cost management, procurement, and financial forecasting to ensure the commercial success of both traditional new build and timber frame developments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, contract negotiation expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of residential construction methodologies. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough cost analysis, budgeting, and financial forecasting for the residential project.
Collaborate with senior commercial leadership to align financial strategies with project objectives.
Manage procurement processes, subcontractor engagements, and project variations to optimise cost efficiency.
Ensure accurate valuations, financial reporting, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
Engage with site teams, project managers, and design professionals to maintain alignment on project deliverables.
Operate within a hybrid working environment, balancing office-based duties, site visits, and remote work.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in residential new build projects, with familiarity with developers is preferred.
Strong expertise in cost control, contract negotiation, and financial forecasting within the construction sector.
Proficiency in procurement and subcontractor management.
Advanced knowledge of financial reporting and project tracking systems.
