Export Sales Business Development

Our Wokingham based client, a leading provider of innovative security solutions, are seeking a motivated Export Sales Developer to join their dynamic team to play a pivotal role in the future expansion of their business externally.

As an Export Sales Developer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, exploring new market opportunities, engaging in international sales visits and calls, and coordinating sales promotions. Leveraging expertise in export sales and your understanding of the industry, you will develop and execute strategies to expand presence and foster relationships with new and existing customers in export markets.

This role has been created as an external sales position to grow the team and facilitate the expansion of customer base in export markets.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to expand export sales.
  • Collaborate with the Export team to develop the export sales strategy.
  • Provide initial technical support to customers and influencers.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, including end-users, specifiers, distributors, and OEMs.
  • Offer support and expertise on current export procedures.
  • Liaise closely with Sales and Technical teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery of clear internal and external marketing communications.
  • Responsively address requests from senior management.
  • International travel to customer sites and trade exhibitions.
  • Conduct desktop market research and present findings coherently.

Requirements

  • Sales-oriented with a passion for expanding export markets.
  • Strong written, oral communication, and listening skills.
  • Experience in security/hardware preferred.
  • Technical understanding of mechanical engineering advantageous.
  • Proficiency in desktop market research.
  • Positive attitude with attention to detail and strategic thinking.
  • Experience in delivering sales-related presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365/Word/Outlook/Excel/Powerpoint/MS Teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings beneficial.
