A small specialist school for children aged 5 to 11 in Wokingham are looking for a Youth Mental Health Worker to support the social skills, emotional wellbeing and mental health of the students within their school. The school provide an alternative education for children who have social & emotional difficulties such as anxiety and school refusal due to developmental trauma and adverse childhood experiences, as well as specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyscalculia. The Youth Mental Health Workerwill be working closely with trained professionals including Psychologists and Therapists and will have the opportunity to shadow their work.

The Youth Mental Health Worker will be supporting children who come to us often feeling confused, with low self-esteem and disengaged from schooling. Your role as a Youth Mental Health Worker is to give them an education that is tailored to their individual needs, enabling and empowering them to understand that 'great minds think differently', to gain confidence in themselves and progress their learning.
