Copello are looking for a Software Engineer on an initial 6 month contract based in Wokingham.
The Software Engineer will be developing solutions to enhance products and rectify customer issues for software, data base and IT systems. The Software Engineer will act a technical expert and provide technical expertise guidance to the customers regarding digital solutions.
Duties of the Software Engineer role will include:
- Work with customers to gather information, investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex
issues.
- Provide software engineering support for incoming tickets across various modules in the product.
- Research and troubleshoot issues involving all aspects of our clients solutions, including configuration, user interface, network and communication connectivity and performance.
- Read and understand complex application software codes and suggest fixes to resolve support issues.
- Perform the regular build deployment activities, Orchestrates the deployment process and guides the application through different environments until it reaches production.
- Handle out of hours 24/7 emergency support.
- Facilitating the relationship between customer and 3rd party vendors with whom the customer contracts directly.
The successful Software Engineer will have the following experience:
- Software engineering experience for Real time systems like SCADA, Energy Management systems (EMS).
- Be eligible for UK SC Clearance level or already hold the Clearance
- Strong C/C++, Java, SQL, Shell scripting, Kubernetes, and ability to read and interpret logs & debug files.
- Expertise with Microservices architecture and tools
- Expertise in Red Hat and Oracle
- Proven track record of problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
- DevOps Experience with tools like Jenkins, GITHUB, Clear Case, SVN
This role is paying up to 65 per hour (inside IR35) and will require the candidate tobe onsite 3 days a week based in Wokingham.
