Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant, working with a year 10 student diagnosed with ASCLocation: Wokingham, BerkshireContract: Long-term, with potential for permanent placement for the right candidate

Role Overview: They are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves working closely with a student with autism and ADHD, providing tailored support to enhance their educational experience and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a student with autism and ADHD.
  • Assist in implementing personalized learning plans and strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.
  • Monitor and report on the student’s progress and development.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism and ADHD.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are desirable.
